Treble Tapestry, Lynchburg's premier women's vocal ensemble, was organized in late summer of 2006 and is dedicated to the performance, education, and sharing of concert literature composed strictly for women's voices. An auditioned group of approximately 25 singers, we have presented twelve concerts during our three completed seasons. The Tapestry sound is unique, compelling, delightful, and inspiring, and all performed by a sophisticated and dedicated choral ensemble which consistently strives for the very highest of standards in quality professional entertainment and performance.
We are diverse individuals, with many and varied interests and talents. Our current age range is 24 to 83, and that dynamic offers unique insights and valued resources from a multitude of life experiences that add emotion and sensitive interpretation to our performances. But the primary element that unites us all is our love of singing. No matter the storms of life, singing is one constant that beautifully expresses our emotions and helps us persevere. And we are passionate about sharing this gift with our audiences.

Our concerts have been held in several large churches in the Lynchburg area, as well as in Snidow Chapel at Lynchburg College. Additionally, we present our programs at the Bedford Academy for the Arts, and at Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford. Our current personnel include singers from Lynchburg, Madison Heights, Bedford, and the Smith Mountain Lake area.
Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester, usually in late August and in early January. Interested singers may secure information regarding the group, our rehearsal schedule, and the auditions by contacting Jane Montgomery, director at janesmontgomery@comcast.net. Each semester extends for ten to twelve weeks of rehearsals, culminating with two concerts. Concerts are tentatively scheduled for mid-April and early November. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in the choir room of Heritage United Methodist Church.
Our concerts are free and open to the public. We support our programming through private, tax-free donations and by selling ads in our programs. Additionally, we offer opportunities for free-will donations at each of our concerts. If you are interested in supporting our program, please check with your employer regarding their matching grants program.
